We are pleased to support the Alzheimer’s Society Will to Remember Scheme which is available to charity supporters. We have completed a number of (free to the client) Wills during the past year for the charity’s supporters under the scheme. We are committed to supporting vulnerable clients and people with a connection to dementia. Louise Peacock in our Private Client department is a recognised “Dementia Friend”.
The charity relies heavily on raising funds through Wills made by supporters and is currently processing more than 1,000 Wills with an expected value of more than £49 million. In 2022 – 2023 more than £2.5million was pledged by supporters under Wills using the Will to Remember Scheme. This could fund the equivalent of 100 years work for the charity’s PhD students or alternatively funding their Dementia Advisers to support more than 5,000 families for the year.
As well as a proud supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society, Gibson & Co. also supports Cancer Research UK and the local charity Tynedale Hospice which operates throughout the Tyne Valley.
