Nina has specialised in family law for more than 20 years, having developed a passion for this area of law and helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
Nina qualified as a solicitor in 2005 before returning to the North East in 2006. She has since held senior positions, including as Head of Department and Partner before joining Gibson & Co. Solicitors in June 2021.
She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist, reflecting her recognised expertise and commitment to the highest professional standards.
Nina advises on all aspects of family law, including children matters, divorce and relationship breakdown. Her particular expertise lies in resolving the financial consequences of separation and divorce, where she is known for providing pragmatic, strategic and commercially minded advice tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.
As a committed member of Resolution, Nina is experienced in promoting constructive, non-confrontational methods of dispute resolution. She is experienced in advising clients through Resolution’s One Couple, One Lawyer approach, enabling separating couples to work collaboratively with a single solicitor to reach fair, balanced and cost-effective agreements where appropriate. She is passionate about helping families resolve issues with dignity, minimising conflict and keeping the focus on achieving positive outcomes.
Acting for clients throughout the UK and internationally, Nina has established a strong London client base and is regularly instructed in complex, high-value financial cases, including high-net-worth divorces, farming disputes and the preparation of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. She is recognised for combining technical excellence with a practical and empathetic approach, helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes while minimising conflict wherever possible.
